Where Did the Week Go?

I went out with the hopes of capturing some last day memories from Gettysburg Bike Week, but every where I went the same scene kept popping up.  Skeleton frames, trash (a whole lot of trash), and the larger vendors semis, being boxed up and moved out.  It is amazing to see how crowded the streets and grounds were, to how desolate and quiet they have become in less than 12 hours.  This was at one of the local campgrounds that served as a major site for concerts, activities and vendors.  The week has actually expanded out from Gettysburg to our neck of the woods, and while it is good for the economy, it does take a toll on our local police and municipalities.  But I am sure the businesses are all thankful and are looking forward to next year.  Happy Trails.  July 15, 2012
