Spinning Wheels

I am taking a different approach to this weeks topic.  Because there is tendency to depict journey as a physical word, I am approaching this from an emotional standpoint.  And it is not because I found no other scene to shoot today, but when I came across this display, one of many that I found throughout the county, it really made me stop and think.  As a father of 3, I cannot even fathom what the emotional journey must be like for a child who is abused.  The counselor in me can approach it from many angles, but to actually have to go through what a child goes through, it is unfathomable and unacceptable.  That’s why I chose this scene.  Not only does it speak volumes of to the issue its addressing, but from the eyes of the abused, it is a road that should never have to be travelled. 4. thank you. The emotional journey has a lot less flowers, because it’s such an internalised thing, but the glories are as magnificent as the frequent dives down into the depths are terrifying.
